ABSTRACTS
I am introducing a series of Abstract new art prints. Through my lens, I've captured the essence of nature's colours, textures, and patterns, transforming them into visually striking, mesmerizing, and thought-provoking compositions. Each photograph tells a story and immerses you in the natural world. So, whether you're a nature enthusiast or appreciate art, come and explore my gallery of abstract nature designs and experience the wonder and awe of nature through my eyes.
The technique used is called ICM - Intentional Camera Movement. It is thought of as photography's equivalent to abstract painting.
Often, I use my camera to achieve a similar effect, just like an abstract painter uses brushes and strokes to create a piece of art that conveys emotions and feelings.
ICM is an unique concept. The image of a given subject using an ICM technique will be impossible to replicate. So, the art prints displayed here are unique!
CAPE BRETON
The first thing to know in Cape Breton is that the weather app usually gets it wrong! Like a resident told me, “What do you expect? This is an island. We always expect the unexpected!”
Welcome to Cape Breton. Welcome to the unexpected.
Natural beauty is expressed with a lavish Atlantic spread on one side and the Gulf Of St. Lawerence on the other. These waters hold up the mountain that climbs to over 1700 feet into the sky.
Winding roads and cliffs welcome you. The deceivingly calm waters of the Atlantic dance harmoniously with the majestic cliffs, creating a symphony of colours and textures that leaves you in awe. Or the fog adding the mystic and romance to it all. From the vibrant hues of the sunrise on the water to the dramatic waves crashing against the rocks, each image tells a story of the untamed beauty of this coastal paradise.
So, join me and explore Cape Breton and the Cabot Trail through my lens. Join me in Iona, where the early settlers from Scotland braved the Atlantic storms and made a new living and life in Nova Scotia. The land Mr. Alexander Bell settled in and gave the world the telephony. Hear the Bras d’Or Lake sing.
Come prepared to be spoilt. It’s a visual festival!
